Happy Endings Rescue Centre in Faversham raising money for treatment after Missy the dog survives 30ft fall

A dog has been called a living miracle after it survived a 30-foot fall from a block of flats.
Missy, the four-year-old German shepherd, toppled from a third-floor window, shattering two of her legs.
One of the dog’s legs had to be amputated and one has been badly broken – injuries that would lead to most dogs being put down.
But in light of her miraculous survival, the Happy Endings Rescue Centre in Faversham is determined to keep her alive and even kicking.
Happy Endings co-founder Terry Kemp said: “She has the most beautiful nature and, despite the trauma, she has gone through, she allows us to treat her without reaction or difficulty.
“She is a truly brave, bright dog with such a loving character. Having already survived against the odds – we just want to give her a second chance at life.”
The team need to raise £3,000 to take Missy to a specialist vet for an operation that will hopefully save her leg.
A special donation page has been set up but they are hoping to raise the funds as soon as possible.
Terry added: “We are seeking this help for Missy based on veterinary advice. She is a young, fit animal and can go on to live a full, healthy life.
“Our challenge is raising the £3,000.00 it will cost to send her to a specialist vet.
“Our funds are already stretched, and with winter approaching we are entering the toughest time of year for the sanctuary.
“However small, we would be so grateful for any donation people feel they can make to Missy’s fund.”
Donations can be made via post, text or the web at the Happy Endings’ fundraising page for Missy.
