Biker in his 70s 'seriously injured' after crash with car and van on A251 between Faversham and Ashford

A biker in his 70s has been left seriously injured after a three-vehicle crash which closed a busy rural road.

The A251 Ashford Road in Badlesmere Leeds, between Faversham and Ashford, was shut for hours on Thursday following the incident.

At around 2.20pm a multi-coloured BMW motorbike was travelling along the road when it collided with a silver BMW X3 on the opposite side of the carriageway, and then with a black Citroen Berlingo van further down the road.

The rider of the motorbike, a man in his 70s, was taken to a London hospital with serious injuries.

As of this morning he is still in hospital.

Police are now appealing for anyone with information about the crash, or he may have caught something on their dash cam footage, to come forward.
