A fallen power line has forced the closure of a main road in both directions.
Emergency repairs are currently being carried out on the A251 Ashford Road between the Charing turn-off in Badlesmere and Bagshill Road in Badlesmere Lees.
Stagecoach bus services are currently unable to run through Faversham as a result.
The bus operator says its 666 service is now only running between Ashford and the Halfway House in Challock.
Delays are being made worse on the A251 by temporary traffic near the Dayton Road junction.
They have been installed while South East Water engineers fix a leak and will be in place until November 18.
