Faversham: Man rescued from the mud

Fire crews rescued a man who was stuck in mud in Faversham Creek this morning.
The elderly man had become stuck up to his thighs near Waterside Close and was gradually sinking deeper into the ground.
Police, paramedics and rescue teams were called to the scene at around 10.50am after passersby raised the alarm.
An ambulance service spokesman said: "We sent one ambulance car to the scene in Waterside Close.
"We had been called to reports a man was stuck in mud.
"The man had been rescued by crews from Kent Fire and Rescue and we have been able to assess and treat him at the scene.
"He did not require hospital treatment."
Fire crews have now left the scene.
