Two boats have been destroyed in a blaze at a Kent waterway.
Fire crews descended on Oare Creek in Faversham last night to tackle the flames and prevent them from engulfing other nearby vessels.
Five fire engines arrived at the scene following a call at about 9pm.
No injuries were reported and the cause is unknown.
A fire service spokesman confirmed teams were called to reports of two boats alight in Faversham.
"Five fire engines attended the incident, and crews worked to tackle the blaze and prevent any further fire spread to nearby boats," they said.
"No casualties were reported and the exact cause has not yet been confirmed."
There were no occupants in either of the boats at the time of the fires.
It is understood the vessels were destroyed by the blaze so it can not be confirmed what types of boat were affected.
Crews left the scene shortly after 11pm.
