A Game of Thrones star from Kent is helping his stepdad make vital face visors for the health service.

Former Faversham schoolboy Isaac Hempstead Wright, who plays Bran Stark in the hit fantasy series, is supporting Tim Hill, from Selling, who runs screen printing business Speedscreen in Maidstone.

When his firm was brought to a standstill by coronavirus restrictions, Tim set up a JustGiving page which has raised more than £4,000, plus other private donations.

Now the money is being used for the materials to make thousands of visors which are being delivered to the Covid-19 Mote Park assessment centre, Medway Maritime Hospital and the University Medical Centre in Canterbury.

Actor Isaac, who was 21 last week and is also studying neuroscience, shared a snap of himself with a mask he had made.

Writing on his Instagram page, which has more than a million followers, the former Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School pupil said: "My step-dad’s printing company @speedscreen_ is currently producing and donating PPE for key health workers.

"They have reached their target on JustGiving but please keep an eye on the page as they may need more funds to cover materials as more are needed! Link is in bio."

Mr Hill says he took the decision to use the firm's technology to do something to help the crisis.

"My staff were keen to volunteer to help those on the frontline and I've been amazed at the generous response to our fundraiser," he said.

"We consulted with the health experts on what type of visors are needed and came up with prototype which was approved.

"We are now also thinking of supplying them to other key workers, like pharmacists and bus drivers."
