Interpretation boards have been unveiled at Whitstable harbour.
The specially-designed sequence of 11 boards was commissioned by the harbour board and form an information trail around the harbour covering everything from water sports to the wind farm.
They were unveiled at the weekend by new Lord Mayor, Cllr Carolyn Parry, in one of her first tasks as the district’s civic leader.
Harbour board chairman Cllr Michael Dixey said they were an important addition to the port.
“This is a further example of enhancing the experience of visitors to the harbour and encouraging them to return to see some of the things they discover in action,” he said.
“It is also a good demonstration of how the board, the harbour businesses and the city council can work together to promote the harbour as a place of enormous historical and contemporary interest to a wide variety of people.”
