Coronavirus Kent: Faversham and Mid Kent MP Helen Whately backs nationwide campaign to thank NHS staff

Helen Whately, the MP for Faversham and Mid Kent, says she will join a nationwide round of applause to thank NHS staff.
It will be take place tonight at 8pm to commend NHS staff and carers for their work amid the coronavirus pandemic.
People in Kent are being encouraged to join in with the "Clap for our Carers" campaign.
"Tonight, I’ll be joining in a round of applause for all our frontline heroes working in the NHS and social care," she said on her Twitter account where she has 14,500 followers.
"Your skills and hard work are utterly indispensable during this unprecedented global emergency.
"Thank you. #ClapForOurCarers."
It comes after hospital parking charges for NHS workers who are on the frontline of the fight against Covid-19 were suspended for two months.
