Child hit by car on Whitstable Road, Faversham

A boy has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car.
The youngster was struck by the vehicle at about 8.15 this morning at the corner of Orchard Place and Whitstable Road in Faversham.
Emergency crews were called to the incident and have since confirmed that the secondary school pupil has been taken to hospital after having received roadside treatment for minor injuries.
Three police cars and two ambulances were called to attend, sparking a build up of traffic in the area.
There are reports of queues on Whitstable Road in both directions near Cyprus Road.
A SECAmb spokesperson said: “We were called at approximately 8.15am today to reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle.
“Ambulance crews attended the scene and the pedestrian was assessed and treated before being taken to William Harvey Hospital in Ashford.”
