A Ukip lorry overturned on a busy road after high winds swept the county.
Police rushed to the scene in A2 London Road between Sittingbourne and Faversham where a lorry carrying a Ukip advertising board had crashed on to its side.
A weather warning was sent out earlier this week to warn that Kent could experience gusts of up to 60mph.
The accident happened at around 5pm on Tuesday.
A police spokesman said: "Police were called to a report of a single vehicle collision on London Road in Bapchild.
"It was reported a lorry overturned due to the high winds.
"Officers are in attendance to manage traffic until the lorry is recovered."
Traffic is reportedly backing up in both directions and Kent Highways are urging drivers to avoid the area.
