The temporary closure began at 8pm yesterday and will remain until 6am on Monday.

National Highways crews are carrying out structural works on two bridges along the motorway.

According to National Highways, the A2, as it approaches junction 7, is currently delayed by up to 15 minutes.

Nightly closures of the same stretch are also planned from Monday to Friday next week.

The route will be closed from 8pm to 6am but is subject to weather conditions.
