Equipment worth £120k stolen from railway embankment in Faversham

An excavator and woodchipper together worth about £120,000 were stolen from a railway embankment.

Police are now appealing for information about the thefts after the machines were taken from a site in Faversham.

They were being used by contractors near Four Oaks Lane on Friday but had vanished when the workmen returned on Monday.

Both machines were fitted with tracker devices which showed they had been moved across a nearby field before being disabled.

They are an orange Bandit 12XPT Woodchipper and a white and black Bobcat E26 Mini Excavator.
