A man and woman have been charged in connection with a street attack where a man suffered a severe head injury.
John Zee and Alice Woods, 31 and 34, are accused of seriously assaulting the individual, aged in his 50s, in Faversham town centre during the early hours of Sunday morning.
Police and paramedics were scrambled to Athelstan Road at about 3am where the suspects were arrested and the man was taken to hospital in a serious condition.
Both suspects have since been charged with wounding with intent while the man is said to be stable in hospital.
Forensic officers were spotted in the street for much of the day following the incident, and could be seen swabbing a wheelie bin.
The following day (Monday, June 26) Zee and Woods were charged.
The duo, who both come from Faversham, appeared before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court yesterday (Tuesday, June 27).
They were each bailed to appear before the same court on Thursday September 14.
Police are appealing for anyone with information who has not yet spoken to investigating officers to get in contact with them.
