Man and woman charged with murder of one-year-old boy in Hernhill, near Faversham

A man and a woman have been charged with the murder of a one-year-old boy.
Jack Benham, 34 and Sian Hedges, 26, are due to appear in court tomorrow in connection with the death of the child in Hernhill, near Faversham.
On November 28, 2020, police and paramedics were called to a home in the village following concerns for the welfare of an infant.
The child was taken to a local hospital for medical attention and was later tragically pronounced dead.
On the same day, a man and a woman were arrested in connection with the incident.
They were both bailed while an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the little boy's death was completed.
On Monday, Benham, of Highstreet Road, Hernhill, and Hedges, of Fillace Park, Yelverton, Devon, were both charged with murder and causing or allowing the death of a child.
The pair were remanded in custody to appear at a hearing before Maidstone Crown Court on March 8.
