A Canterbury man remains in custody after an 18-mile police chase ended dramatically in Faversham late last night.
At around 9pm, officers signalled for a driver of a Fiat Punto to stop after they were reportedly driving "erratically" on the A2 near Lydden.
But when they refused to stop, police pursued the driver, with the car only stopping on the A2 in Faversham following 'tactical contact' from the police car.
Police spokesman Alice Hemmings said: "No injuries were reported.
"A 26-year-old man from Canterbury was arrested at 9.25pm on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol and a driving offence, and remains in police custody."
