Appeal for witnesses after 27-year-old man from Orpington dies in M2 crash

A 27-year-old man from Orpington has died in an accident on the M2.
A silver BMW 530 crashed on the London-bound carriageway between junctions six and five near Faversham just after 11pm yesterday.
Police, firefighters and ambulance crews were called, but the driver could not be saved.
The car is thought to have swerved off the carriageway, but it is not yet known why.
No other vehicles are thought to have been involved.
The road was closed until 7 this morning while an investigation was carried out.
There were delays in the area, but congestion has now cleared.
Police are appealing for witnesses to call the serious collision investigation unit on 01622 798538 quoting reference AH/AH/177/17.
