A man struck by a train at a railway station has suffered "life-changing injuries", police have confirmed.
Emergency crews were called to Faversham yesterday afternoon following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
The ambulance service confirmed the man was treated at the scene before being airlifted to a London hospital in a serious condition.
And British Transport Police have said this afternoon he sustained life-changing injuries.
The incident is not being treated as suspicious.
Four fire vehicles, two ambulance incident response units, one ambulance and a police car were at the scene.
An air ambulance also landed nearby.
The power to the rails was turned off and trains held within stations until it was safe to continue.
An update by operator Southeastern shortly after 6.15pm yesterday confirmed its trains were no longer experiencing delays.
