Police appeal as man hit by van on A2 near Faversham remains in critical condition

A man hit by a van on the A2 remains in a critical condition in hospital.
The 32-year-old pedestrian suffered serious injuries when he was struck by a white Vauxhall Astra van near Faversham at about 3.45pm yesterday.
The vehicle had been travelling along the A2 London Road from Faversham towards the Brenley Corner roundabout when the collision happened.
The air ambulance, police and paramedics were called to the scene, and officers temporarily closed the road in both directions.
The pedestrian was flown by air ambulance to a London hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
The van driver was not injured in the crash.
Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are now appealing for dash cam footage and any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police to come forward.
