Man dies in skip lorry crash in Western Link, Faversham

A man in his 90s has died in a crash involving a Toyota Yaris and a skip lorry.
The fatal collision happened at the junction between B2045 Western Link and Bysing Wood Road in Faversham this morning.
Police were called to the scene shortly before 9am and remained at the site until this afternoon, conducting enquiries.
The elderly driver of the silver Toyota, who is from the Faversham area, died at the scene.
The other vehicle involved was a white Volvo skip loader.
Part of Western Link was closed in both directions for about five hours following the crash, along with a section of Bysing Wood Road near its junction with Wildish Road.
The closure was eventually lifted just before 2.30pm.
Police, who have confirmed the death of a man in his 90s, are now appealing for anyone with information about the crash to come forward.
The Toyota was joining Western Link from Bysing Wood Road and the lorry was travelling along Western Link, towards London Road, when the crash happened.
Officers are particularly keen to speak with anyone who has dashcam footage, or CCTV, which captures the collision or either of the vehicles travelling in the moments leading up to it.
