Discovery of cannabis factory at Brents Industrial Estate in Faversham leads to two arrests

Two people have been arrested after more than 2,000 cannabis plants were found growing in a building in Faversham.

The cannabis factory was discovered at the Brents Industrial Estate in Faversham after a member of public reported suspicious activity and a strong smell of cannabis.

Officers were seen removing bags from the site this afternoon.

Police arrested two men, aged 23 and 27, at the scene. They remain in custody.

A worker from a nearby business said: "We had been smelling it for a while but didn't know where it was coming from.

"I hadn't really noticed it before, but definitely can now."

There were more than seven patrol vehicles at the scene this afternoon, including forensics.
