Two men charged following aggravated burglary in Faversham

Two men have been charged after allegedly posing as pizza delivery drivers before forcing their way into a house brandishing a knife.
Police were called to a report of an aggravated burglary in Larksfield Road, Faversham, at about 8.15pm on Sunday, September 15.
It is alleged that the pair claimed to be pizza delivery drivers before threatening the occupants with a retractable knife.
A quantity of cash and two smartphones were reported stolen.
Matthew Poole, 33 and of Alexandra Road, Sheerness, and Gary Westcott, 39 and of Denver Road, Rochdale, have since been arrested and charged with aggravated burglary.
Westcott was remanded in custody to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
At the hearing he was granted bail by the court and will next appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday, October 28.
Poole, who has also been charged with possessing an offensive weapon, has been remanded in custody to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court today.
