Migrants found in lorry on A251 in Faversham detained

Five migrants have been detained after they were found in the back of a lorry in Faversham.
They were discovered in the HGV's trailer at about 9am on the A251 in Ashford Road, near its junction with the A2.
An eyewitness who lives nearby said there were eight migrants in total, but three of them fled.
A police spokesman said: "We were called at 9.03am today to concerns that a number of people were in the trailer of a lorry, travelling in the vicinity of the A251 in Faversham.
"Officers attended and have detained five people who will be handed into the care of Home Office Immigration Enforcement."
