2,242 homes were affected by a power-cut in Faversham this morning.
At around 9am, there was a blackout as electric went out across the town.
The Queen Elizabeth Grammar School sent an email out to parents to say their phone lines had been affected.
A UK Power Networks spokesman said: "A fault on the electricity distribution network interrupted supplies to 2,242 customers in the Abbey Road area of Faversham at 9.06am today.
"UK Power Networks engineers restored all supplies in stages between 9.10am and 10.34am.
"We are sorry for any inconvenience caused and reconnected supplies as quickly as possible."
