A multi-coloured BMW motorbike hit a silver BMW X3 on the opposite side of the carriageway and a black Citroen Berlingo van further down the road.

It occurred near the village of Badlesmere Lees on the road which links Faversham and Ashford.

The rider, a man in his 70s, was rushed to a London hospital but died from his injuries on Thursday.

Officers from the police's serious collision investigation unit are now renewing their appeal for witnesses. They want to hear from anyone who may have seen the incident or has dash cam footage from the area at the time.
