Motorist spots another big cat
00:00, 13 February 2003
THERE has been another big cat sighting in the Faversham area. A large black cat was spotted running towards the Abbey School by a passing car driver at 1.30am on Tuesday along Ashford Road.
The creature crossed in front of the car and run up the bank. The Faversham man assured Swale police it was definitely not a domestic cat.
Neil Arnold, of Kent Big Cat Research, said it was likely the creature was out hunting at that time but assured people they were unlikely to be of any danger to the wider public.
The work of Big Cat Research is to try to make people more aware. Anyone who has a sighting is asked to call Mr Arnold on 01634 302572.
