A string of closures are planned for a motorway this month - which will see one stretch of the motorway shut over three full weekends from now.
Closures will be in place along various stretches of the M2 - between junction 4 at Gillingham and junction 7 at Brenley Corner, Faversham - while Highways England carries out surfacing works.
The London-bound carriageway between junction 7 and junction 5 at Sittingbourne is set to close on-and-off between July 12 and July 29.
It will close from 8pm until 6am every week night, while full closures will be in place for the weekends of July 12, 19 and 26.
It closed at 8pm on Friday, reopening at 6am on Monday, July 15. The following week, it will again shut from 8pm on Friday until 6am on Monday.
On Friday 26, it will shut at 8pm on Friday but reopen on Sunday at 8pm.
During this time, traffic will be diverted off the M2 at junction 6 for Faversham, onto the southbound A251 until the Canterbury Road roundabout before heading westbound onto the A252 until Charing roundabout.
It will then join the southbound A20 before joining the M20 at junction 9 for Ashford West, continuing westbound until the turning for the northbound A249 where traffic will rejoin the M2 at junction 5 for Sittingbourne.
The London-bound carriageway between junction 5 and junction 4 will also close overnight on Monday, July 15 - when it will shut from 8pm until 6am the next day.
