Murder arrest after body found in Crispin Close, Faversham

A man arrested on suspicion of murder after the body of a pensioner was found inside a property remains in custody.
Police and forensics have been investigating the death in Crispin Close, Faversham, where at least two bungalows have been cordoned off.
In a statement released this afternoon, a police spokesman said the arrested man and the victim, who is in his 70s but is yet to be formally identified, were believed to have known to each other.
Officers were called at 4.50pm on Friday and discovered the body of the man inside the house.
Police say the death is being treated as suspicious and man who has been detained is in his 60s and from Faversham.
Detectives from Kent and Essex's Serious Crime Directorate are working on the case and anyone with information should call 101, quoting reference 19-952.
