A woman is in a serious condition in hospital after she was hit by a van in Faversham this morning.

The pedestrian, who is her 60s and from the town, was struck by the white Ford Transit in Crescent Road, near the Tesco store, at about 9.05am.

She suffered a leg injury and was taken to a local hospital, where her condition is described as serious but stable.
