Several police cars have been seen in a built-up residential area following reports of a "serious" incident.
Neighbours have spotted a number of patrol cars in the Bensted Grove car park in Faversham.
One resident in Lower Road told KentOnline how "all the sirens have been on and it's very loud... it sounds serious".
"They’ve taped off the steps leading down to St Paul’s Avenue and a forensics van has pulled up," they added.
"There are more police vehicles around the corner that can’t be seen from where we are."
The first officers were seen in the area at about 6pm and the forensics van was spotted just before 8.30pm.
Other residents reported driving past the police cars on the nearby A2 and seeing lots of flashing lights.
Police have been contacted for comment.
