There were huge delays on the London-bound M2 tonight following a police incident.
One witness said he had seen a pursuit with up to eight police cars involved.
Highways England had warned the tailbacks were expected to continue until 9.30pm, but we have been told traffic started moving again just before 8pm.
Motorists caught up in the incident, which is between Junction 6 for Faversham and 5 for Sittingbourne, described it as 'horrendous.'
One witness told KentOnline he had seen 'six to eight' police cars cornering another vehicle.
Another said one man had been placed in the back of a vehicle.
