Police confirmed they had receive complaints and are investigating.
Liberal Democrats in Faversham have been offering supporters stake boards to display in their front gardens as part of the campaign to get Faversham Town Councillor Antony Hook elected to Kent County Council on May 4.
Cllr Antony Hook, said: “This is an outrageous attack on the democratic process, but all it has succeeded in doing is strengthening our resolve.
“We’ve even had requests for extra stake boards from townspeople who are disgusted at this pathetic attempt at intimidation."
Eddie Thomas, Liberal Democrat candidate for Swale East, also had his stakeboards targeted.
Mr Thomas said: “The boards are already back up and we will not be intimidated by childish attempts to disrupt the democratic process.
“Sadly there are always a few idiots who can’t engage in a sensible and civilised exchange of views, and have to resort to violence.”
Swale Liberal Democrats chairman Peter Cook said some of the vandalism was done in obscure locations.
“This implies that the perpetrators had scouted the locations in advance, and the damage was caused by cutting implements and hammers," he said.
"This again implies this was planned and orchestrated.
“The spread of the attacks suggests there was more than one perpetrator.”
Voter intimidation is a criminal offence and a glove found at the scene of one of the sites where stake boards were vandalised has been handed to police for forensic testing.
A police spokesman said: "We have received several reports that a number of Lib Dem political party signposts located on private properties around Faversham have been removed or damaged."
* A number of stake boards for the Conservatives were knocked down along the Lower Road on Sheppey during Friday night. The vandalism was also reported to police.
