Police carrying out a widespread search for a missing man have been scouring another Kent village today.
Officers were this morning spotted in Sheldwich, outside Faversham, as they combed the area for clues to the whereabouts of John Macklin.
The 43-year-old - last seen more than a fortnight ago - is from the nearby village of Eastling.
A driver who passed through Sheldwich this morning said: "There were four marked police cars around.
"An officer stopped us on the A251 for a short while and then traffic continued - there seems to be quite a lot of police activity."
About 30 officers scoured fields and woods in Eastling on Monday.
Earlier this month, the search was focused 12 miles away in Eureka Park, Ashford.
At least 50 volunteers were drafted in, with vehicles seen parked in the Dobbies car park. Canoes and water search equipment were also spotted at the scene.
Mr Macklin was last seen wearing a grey hooded top, dark blue jeans, a pair of black Nike trainers and a navy blue waterproof jacket.
He is believed to have links to Chatham and Snodland.
Chief inspector Mark Hedges said: "We are concerned for his welfare and are urging anybody who sees him or knows of his whereabouts to contact us."
