A road outside a Sainsbury’s supermarket was shut by police following a two-vehicle crash.
Officers, firefighters and paramedics were all called to Bysingwood Road, Faversham, this morning.
Two police cars were spotted blocking the route, with one near the entrance to Sainsbury’s, and another about 100 yards down the road.
Officers were initially called to the incident just after 8am.
“Officers, fire crews and paramedics attended the scene and the road was closed while the emergency services dealt with the incident,” a spokesperson for the force said.
“A woman was treated for injuries that are described as minor and was taken to a local hospital for further medical attention.”
Pictures show smashed glass on the pavement possibly following the incident, and one car involved being loaded onto a recovery truck.
Two fire engines also attended, and crews stabilised the vehicle before helping people to safety.
Police lifted the cordon just before 11am and traffic has returned to normal.
