M2 junction 5 and junction 6 reopens after dogs close carriageway
16:41, 16 November 2023
Commuters are being warned to expect delays after a section of the M2 was forced to close – due to dogs on the carriageway.
The motorway between Junction 5 in Sittingbourne and Junction 6 in Faversham near the A251 Ashford Road was forced to shut earlier today, in both London-bound and coastbound directions, after a pack of dogs were spotted loose on the road.
The road has since reopened, but delays are expected as a result of the incident, which was first reported this afternoon.
Police were contacted for comment.
