A crash involving six vehicles has caused major tailbacks on a busy motorway.
Traffic was temporarily on the M2 following the pile-up, which occurred just after 4.30pm between junctions six (Faversham) and and seven (Canterbury).
Motorists heading towards the A2 Canterbury Road and Thanet Way have been affected.
Police and ambulance crews were sent to the scene, although it is not known if anyone was injured.
The road reopened at around 5.50pm but highways officials say there are seven-miles of tailbacks with delays of more than 60 minutes in the area.
Drivers are being advised to an alternate route where possible and also expect long delays on the approach from Junction 5 (Sittingbourne).
