McColl's newsagents in Preston Street, Faversham, robbed of cash by two people armed with a knife

A shop worker was threatened with a knife in a terrifying robbery at a newsagents in Faversham last night (Monday).
Two people entered McColl's in Preston Street shortly before 9.45pm and demanded cash from a member of staff.
Police were called but the duo had fled with the money by the time officers arrived.
Police spokesman Alice Hemmings said: "It is reported two people entered the store, threatened a member of staff and made off with a quantity of cash.
"Enquiries are at an early stage and are ongoing."
Staff at the shop declined to comment this morning.
