A Faversham school has issued a stranger danger alert after a pupil was allegedly harassed by a group of Eastern European males.
The Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School sent a letter home to parents today (Monday) after a girl from another school was followed by the group in Faversham on Saturday.
The group were said to be making "inappropriate gestures" and "encouraging her to get into the car."
The letter to parents says: "On Saturday afternoon a year nine student from another school was harassed in Faversham by a group of Eastern European males.
"The girl immediately reported this incident to her parent who was working in the town. The group of males continued to harass her by making inappropriate gestures outside the workplace of her parent. The parent approached the group and encouraged them to move on.
"The student continued on her way to an appointment in Whitstable Road but as she walked up the road the same group of males crept along side her in a black car, making inappropriate comments and gestures and encouraging her to get into the car.
"The student arrived safely at her destination and the police were informed."
The school asked for parents to discuss the matter with their children and remind them to be "vigilant".
The letter adds that police are investigating the incident and are trying to identify the males involved from CCTV images.
