A teenager alleged to have raped a girl after drinking half a bottle of vodka has been cleared by a jury.
The 16-year-old girl told police she was a virgin before Harry Perfect had sex with her, but admitted in court they were intimate four days earlier.
The girl claimed she wept as Perfect, then aged 17, forced himself on her in a Faversham park after they met on the internet.
Perfect, now 19, later denied any sexual contact with her on that occasion but claimed they had consensual sex a few days earlier.
He continued to deny in evidence that he had intercourse with the girl on the day of the alleged rape.
Prosecutor Kathryn Hirst told a jury of 10 women and two men that Perfect had made contact with the girl on a website called Tagged and they met a couple of times.
When they met in the park in April last year he told her he had drunk vodka and she could see he was unsteady on his feet, said Miss Hirst.
The girl agreed in evidence that she told police she was a virgin when she was allegedly raped.
But questioned by Brett Weaver, defending, she admitted having sex with Perfect at his home four days earlier.
Asked if she consented, she replied: “I think so.”
She said she had been a virgin before the alleged rape but when asked if she had sex with Perfect before she replied: “Yeah.”
Asked if she had sex with her boyfriend, she said: “I can’t remember.” She denied having sex with him two weeks earlier.
The girl, now 17, was said by her mother to have a mental age of 13 or 14.
