A Faversham teenager will face court in connection with a burglary where a handbag with bank cards inside was stolen.

The 16-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged on July 2 with burglary after a break-in was reported at an address in Murston Road in Sittingbourne overnight on June 7.

It is alleged that somebody broke into the property and stole the handbag with the cards inside.

Less than an hour later, cash was withdrawn from one of the cards.

He was bailed to appear at court on July 29.

A 27-year-old man was charged last month in connection with the same case.

Daniel Brunger of Woodberry Drive, Murston, appeared at Maidstone Crown Court on June 27 and was remanded in custody for a plea and case management hearing on September 11.
