Three teenagers have been arrested after rubble was hurled at motorists on the A2.

A total of six cars were damaged after objects, including a house brick and plank of wood, were reportedly thrown from the overpass at Boughton-under-Blean, near Brenley Corner, on the evening of February 24.

Two motorists sustained minor hand injuries as a result.

The boys, all of whom are 17, were arrested this morning. Two are from the Faversham area while the other is from Thanet.

Earlier this week, Jackie Barrett, who was travelling with her husband Jon towards Dover when a brick hurtled through their windscreen, told Kent Online how he needed hospital treatment after suffering deep gashes to two of his fingers.

The incident left her covered in glass, but Mr Barrett thankfully managed to steer the car to safety and pull up in a nearby garage.

The arrested teenagers remain in custody as inquiries continue.

Police remain keen to hear from anyone with information on the incidents, which occurred between 6 and 7pm.

Anyone with information should call police on 01795 419119, quoting 46/36574/19 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
