Traffic is stretching back to the M2 following a crash on the main route through Faversham.
A car and motorbike collided on the A2 London Road, outside The Abbey School, before 10am and congestion has continued to build since.
Police and paramedics have been pictured at the scene, and the motorcyclist is being treated for injuries not described as serious.
While the clear-up operation takes place, traffic is clogged up along the A2 and back onto the A251, where queues stretch to the M2 turn-off.
Routes onto the A2 from Faversham town centre are also snarled up, including The Mall.
Long-term temporary traffic lights at the A251 junction are also adding to the delays.
