M2 between Junction 6 for Faversham and Junction 5 for Sittingbourne faces heavy delays following crash

Two people have been injured following a two-car crash on the M2 this morning - with one taken to a London hospital.
There were major delays on the London-bound stretch of the M2 between Junction 6 at Faversham and Junction 5 for Sittingbourne.
As a result, traffic was queueing back to Junction 7 at Brenley Corner.
It is understood the crash took place midway between the two junctions.
A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at 6.50am regarding a collision involving two cars on the London-bound carriageway of the M2 between junctions 6 and 5.
"Officers and the ambulance service attended the scene where two people were treated for injuries.
"A man has been taken to a London hospital for further medical attention."
