Two injured in M2 crash

THE M2 motorway was blocked for nearly an hour at lunchtime today after two vehicles were involved in a collision near Faversham.
The accident occurred on the coastal bound section by the Ashford turn-off and involved a Hyundai coupe and a white Mercedes van.
Fire crews had to use hydraulic cutting equipment to rescue two people. They suffered minor injuries.
The motorway was closed between there and junction seven until around 12.50pm.
