A woman was arrested after a car was abandoned on a level crossing last night.
The vehicle stopped on the Monkshill Road crossing near Graveney, Faversham, at about midnight.
Though an investigation is still underway, the British Transport Police confirmed a 29-year-old woman from Rochester was arrested last night for "endangering a railway passenger".
One train user, who was on the 11.30pm train from Margate, said they didn't reach Faversham until 2am.
BTP confirmed the incident, saying: "We received a report at 11.59pm of a driver having decamped from a vehicle which had stopped on a level crossing.
"A 29-year-old female from Rochester was arrested in connection with the incident for endangering a railway passenger."
The Force couldn't confirm whether the car had broken down, or whether it was deliberately abandoned on the tracks.
