Woman hit by car in Newton Road, Faversham, suffers head injury

A woman has been taken to hospital with a head injury after she was hit by a car in Faversham.
The pedestrian was knocked down on the B2041 Newton Road just after 10am.
Police and ambulance crews rushed to the scene, where the woman was assessed by paramedics.
Ambulance service spokesman Richard Airey said: "We responded to reports a person had been hit by a car, and had suffered a head injury.
"They have been assessed at the scene and taken to the William Harvey Hospital for further checks."
Her injuries are described as not life threatening.
