The top-of-the-table clash in Ryman League Division 1 South finished all square at Salters Lane on Saturday.

Leaders Merstham left with a point from their trip to Faversham, who sit third, after a 1-1 draw. Jamie Maxted levelled for Ray Turner’s men after Omar Folkes had put Merstham ahead.

Three goals in the last 11 minutes handed Folkestone victory at Tooting.

Danny Summers put Tooting ahead on 45 minutes before Richard Atkins levelled on 79 minutes. Frankie Chappell put Invicta ahead with two minutes left and veteran striker Paul Booth wrapped it up in the 90th minute.

A power supply problem meant Herne Bay’s game at Walton Casuals was abandoned with the visitors leading 2-1 in the 82nd minute.

Bay raced into a two-goal lead inside 12 minutes thanks to Sam Hasler and Ben Brown.

Luke Medley pulled one back just before half-time and Bay had Dan Parkinson sent-off early in the second half. However, they appeared to be heading towards maximum points until the lights went off and the game was eventually abandoned.

Two goals in the last three minutes saw Whitstable snatch defeat from the hands of victory. They went down 4-3 at home to Guernsey.

The visitors led through Kieran Mahon on 29 minutes but Ian Pulman’s penalty on 45 minutes made it 1-1 at the break.

Jacques Isabelle put Guernsey back ahead only for Pulman and Kane Rowland to score twice in two minutes and make it 3-2 to Whitstable.

However, Mark McGrath scored in the 87th minute and then repeated the trick a minute later to complete a remarkable finale.

Sittingbourne went down 1-0 at Horsham after Tony Nwachukwu converted a penalty 13 minutes from time.

Ashley Miller opened the scoring for Hythe against East Grinstead. However, his eighth-minute goal was quickly cancelled out by Steffan Joseph and Marc Cumberbatch scored the winner for Grinstead midway through the second half.

Tonbridge’s miserable run of form in the Premier Division continued.

Goals from Bradley Hudson-Odoi and Ryan James in a 10-minute spell either side of half-time handed Met Police a 2-0 win at Longmead.

Steve McKimm’s side sit just one point and two places above the relegation zone, which still contains VCD who picked up an excellent point at play-off hopefuls Hendon.

Mikhail Kennedy gave Tony Russell’s side a third-minute lead but Leon Smith levelled on the stroke of half-time.

VCD held on for a point after the break although they had Nick Reeves sent-off in the final minute.

At the top of the table, Margate drew 3-3 at home to relegation-threatened Harrow and now lead Maidstone by just three points.

Maidstone, who beat Bognor 2-1 at home, have four games in hand on their Kent rivals.

In Division 1 North, Chatham’s poor scoring record at Maidstone Road continued as they went down 1-0 to lowly Heybridge. Aaron Gayle scored the only goal of the game on 45 minutes.
