Air ambulance in Church Road, Folkestone after quad bike crash

The air ambulance landed on a playing field this afternoon following a crash involving a quad bike in Folkestone .

It landed on The Stadium green, off Church Road and Aldridge Road, on Taylor Wimpey's Shorncliffe Heights housing estate at around 3.25pm.

Police and ambulance are also at the scene.

The extent of any injuries are not yet known.

Church Road is currently closed off at junction with Risborough Lane.

A spokesman for police said: "Kent Police was called to Church Road, Folkestone at 3.25pm following a report of a collision involving a quad bike.

"Officers are currently at the scene along with South East Coast Ambulance Service."

A spokesman for the ambulance service confirmed it had been called to a "serious incident" in Church Road but could yet provide any more details.
