Armed police called to Bouverie Place Shopping Centre in Folkestone

Armed police and emergency services have been called to a shopping centre.
Officers attended the scene in Folkestone town centre at around 3.10pm this afternoon.
Armed officers have been pictured inside the Bouverie Place Shopping Centre along with dogs.
Witnesses have reported that a police helicopter was also in attendance.
A police spokesperson said: “Kent Police were called to a report of a man acting suspiciously in Folkestone town centre at 3.10pm on Thursday 27 April 2023.
“Officers attended and the man was located and no further action was deemed necessary.”
