Striking pictures show the moment armed police swooped on a residential building to arrest suspected drug dealers.
Firearms officers were scrambled to Cambridge Gardens in Folkestone today at about 4pm amid fears a weapon was present.
As tensions mounted a neighbour reported hearing shouting from officers surrounding the building.
Speaking shortly after a trio was arrested, a police spokesman told KentOnline: “Two males and one female were arrested at the scene on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class B drugs.
“They remain in custody and enquiries at the address remain ongoing.
“Armed officers also attended as a precaution following concerns a weapon may have been present at the address.”
Three officers remain at the scene, according to a neighbour.
“I suddenly heard shouting outside saying ‘armed police’ and telling them to come out,” they said.
“I went to the window and saw heavily armed police officers and police dogs.
“They did get someone out after around 10 minutes and took him away.”
