Arrest after man hit over head with ‘blunt object’ in Folkestone street attack

A suspect has been arrested after a man was reportedly hit over the head with a blunt object in the street.
The incident happened in Bradstone Road at the junction with Clarence Street, Folkestone, on Saturday at about 5.20pm.
Police received reports that a man had lashed out at another with a blunt object.
A video of the incident was also circulated on social media, which showed a person exiting an Audi, holding his hand to his head.
Yesterday, officers arrested a 41-year-old man on suspicion of attempted grievous bodily harm.
He has been bailed with conditions, pending further enquiries.
A police spokesman said: “The victim has not yet come forward and officers continue to appeal for anyone with relevant information to contact them, quoting reference 46/64070/24.
